Our Light

Bright lights fill the street- illuminating his face with golden hues. His eyes sparkle with wonder-captivating me, almost daring me to look away. The beating of my heart rings in my ears-casting out any other sound. When he smiles time stands still-the world turning beneath my feet while I stand still. His voice like a melody in my brain-causing me to hang onto every word he says. When the lights fade into the night- I know that our light shines bright.
