I slowly reach my hand out  
toward the old wooden cabinet

I am preparing to put together

fly open, beckoning me to come closer.  
I can no longer wait.  
The temptation is just too great. 
 
I snatch the yummy Smuckers right from its spot, 
top shelf next to the sour cream.
