My own mind
“I hate you” it screams
“You don't matter” it hollars
“You are a nobody in life” it shouts
“Wow you’re still here” it yells
“Attention seeker!” it rages
“Help me” I whisper
“Save me” I cry
“Stop it” I meekly say
“Get away” I say eyes filled with fear
How do you escape your own mind?

I wrote this when I was in a very dark place. Poetry, as cheesy as it sounds, was and is my escape from the real world and my own mind.
