raw egg

I’ve cracked an egg
without the intention
of cooking it.
Wishing those pieces
cracked and floating at the
bottom of the sink
weren’t too delicate
to be glued back together.
Now just stuck
here with a raw egg
asking the salt and pepper
if I should’ve cooked it.
