The Shadow in The Spotlight
Depression is a shadow
engulfing you when it’s
dark
chasing you when it's
bright
From the shadows, it comes
In the light, it
thrives
survives
grows
Friends comfort you
but it is still there
You enter the spotlight
but it is still there
lock yourself in your room
but it is still
There
hiding from the embarrassment
dark memories surface
Things you just want to forget
The only way to rid of the
shadow
is to
think of the brightness all around you
from
your friends
your family
and
your loved ones
the bright ray of love
all around you
d i s s i p a t i n g
the shadows
Everybody has their
dark times
but with the blinding love
shown to you
just for you
shadows are no more
and depression turns into love.
