she smiles
after having worked long hours
she shows you to your table
as you are the first for her to greet
she smiles
so kindly to strangers
new and exciting faces
she has to cater to their needs
she smiles
holding a heavy tray
she glides across the room ever so gracefully
to deliver what is rightfully yours
she smiles
as you finish your meal
and so generously
pay for your meal
and as you leave
another satisfied customer
awaiting the next table
I smile

As someone who has experience in the service industry, I feel that these people need more respect and the average person would think about what they have to do on a normal basis.
