Time it was
Time it was,
The time when the worrisome drifted into the summer breeze and it never came back.
When I would look forward to waking up and doing the same thing the next day.
The time where friends and family would gather for a warm summer night by the fire.
Those are the nights
A feeling of freedom, a feeling of pure bliss that takes over your body.
The sound of the tiny lake waves crashing against the sand and rocks.
The view of the mountains slowly swallowing the sun.
Those are the nights
The cold coffee ice cream that slides down the cone.
The feeling of putting on the prettiest but simplest sundress for an evening out.
The act of dangling your legs off the end of the dock and just the tips of your toes get wet.
Those are the nights,
Those are the nights I live for.

This poem is something that means a lot to me because of how this is how my summers go and what I look forward too.
