Secrets of the Fatherland
Bones were everywhere
Death here, death there
Screams were made
Flesh was torn
That very night
My child was born
'Twas small and thin
She fit within
My arms
While we all fled
I held her near but still
I feared
The child would soon be dead
The monsters came
They called my name
but I would never answer
I knew my pain was not in vain
Her father died of cancer
The village gone, we travelled on
Through deserts and
Through snow
We made it to the only place
My daughter's ever known

This was written late at night when I was 13 years old. I'm not mentally ill; I promise. I just wrote what came to my mind.
