Slam poetry #1: Dear Adults
Dear Adults,
Why are you always telling us to stay young as long as possible, but at the same time you are always saying the future is in our hands and to change all of these things and we aren't even legal adults yet. How do you expect us to make a change if we can't even vote to make a difference. And don't tell us that we are too young to understand and then turn around and say you should already know this I have talked about this multiple times. Also stop making us believe that everything has to stay the same. Times are changing, deal with it. We can love a person of the same sex. We can love a person of the oppisite race. You say the future is in our hands well this is what we are doing with the future. So either get on board with it or don't because guess what when all of this is the new normal you probably be to old to march for your disapproval.

I have a lot of emotion that I just bottle up inside of me that I have to let out somewhere. And I know that some other people feel this way so I wanted to show that they are not alone.
