The Society
The Society
Walk by, don’t make eye contact,
you know they’re talking about you.
Don’t walk funny, don’t trip, don’t sway your arms too much,
you know they’ll laugh at you.
Oh, there’s that cute boy,
But you know he wants the girl who wears too little and talks too much.
Look, there’s that girl that you were talking to at the party,
But is she your friend, should you say hi?
No, no just walk by,
She might not even like you.
Why didn’t my best friend smile at me in the hallway?
Did I do something? Did she even notice me?
Oh, that’s right, she’s too busy with her boyfriend.
And me, well, my brain is too extraverted,
Stuck in an introverted body.
