He's The Ocean
The sheets tangle in and out
of our legs
and minds,
Gentle touches
and affirmations,
Warm sunshine peeking through in thick stripes
through the blinds.
Looking at him,
I see his soul,
running deep like the ocean.
His waves consume me.
I fall deeper and deeper.
His hand caresses my cheek,
I melt
in a pool of infatuation,
I hear the crashing of
gentle waves in his voice.
The moon in his eyes
calming me down,
letting me relax,
protecting me.
My feet land on the sand.
I’m all the way down.
Who knew the bottom of the ocean
could be so warm?
