My Fathers Watch
A beautiful watch lies on the wrist of its owner.
The man walks the streets feeling that he’s a loner.
His depression deep down swallows him up.
He’s supresses himself with pills to prop himself up.
Tick tock, the watch strikes 1’oclock.
Tick tock, his heart begins to stop.
Tick tock, his body is lifted up.
Tick tock, his body burns hot.
A beautiful watch lies on the son of its owner.
Tears stream down his face,
as he stands there wallowing in place.
His heart feels it’s falling out of place,
15 years of memories start to be erased.
Tick tock, the hand strikes 3’oclock.
Tick tock, the furnace burns hot.
Tick tock, bones start to fade away.
Tick Tock, 49 years turn to grey.
