RING/ALL MINE
*Ring
The ring.
The ring that has meaning .
The one that brings hope.
Giving me memories.
Memories of happiness that North Carolina gave me
Memories of things forgotten and not.
Memories of my favorite place and its people.
Memories on my finger
North Carolina feels like home to me,
its my happy place
The ring brings light.
The ring that represents me and my style,
brings me happiness when I look at it,
gives me hope though the night and day.
*All Mine
Here I sit,
On the edge of my bed
looking at my grey walls.
Within these walls so much has happened.
Memories of 13 years worth lay Here.
My black bed sheets caress my skin.
Paintings of beautiful art sit.
I stare and admire.
Beauty of art does not go unnoticed,
Its admired here
Here,
from the edge of my bed along with my belongings
the items that express me.
Things that make this room mine.
My bedroom.
My place.
