Walking
I walked at sundown.
Bugs chirping,
Leafs blowing,
Leafs falling,
Rustling of the grass.
Lights streaming through the branches,
The occasional car speeding by,
A person walking by with a child
Or dog.
A kid speeding on the sidewalk scooter
His dad failing to keep up with him.
I turned the corner beginning the walk home
The sun goes lower.
The sound of dogs barking, cats meowing
I walked at night.
