dear pain, this is for you
Stop looking at me
Your eyes are shriveling up .
They are crawling out of their sockets and fueling my insecurity.
They are scraping up my stomach and then twisting it inside out.
Stop talking to me
Your mouth is full of weapons
Intoxicating me at first but then using my weaknesses against me
Words of fraud wisdom that cut me up into small pieces
They stabbed at my brain until I was a mess of tears and dysfunctional hormones
Taking me away from sanity and leaving only black mascara smears upon my pillow
Stop touching me
Your hands have claws
Gripping into me and holding me so that I could never get too far without them digging deeper and deeper
You made me bleed until I couldn’t see anything but red
Stop looking for me
I am out of your reach, rising above you into the bright blue sky
Life of hate and darkness never did you well
Your blind to the sun and it’s golden rays
You will never see me fall again
