Bubbling Destruction
You're like soda
Coating my taste buds in your sweetness
Yet burning my throat as you go down
It hurts and sends my stomach into a turmoil
Still I crave you even more when you're gone
Just a drop more would satisfy me
You keep me hooked with your promises of pleasantries
I can't stop myself from taking a sip from your tempting bubbles
But I know you only hurt me
After you're gone I'm left feeling lethargic and lonely
Despite the churning of my insides
I can't just quit you
Your taste has been seared into my memory
The feeling whenever I envelop you drowns out the aftermath
You're like soda
Full of sweetness at first but detrimental to my health
