“God works in mysterious ways”

“You just have to believe”

The truth is much deeper,

Yet more fulfilling.

God is somebody.

And with every somebody, we can bond with them.

Bonding builds respect, trust, and admiration.

Some bonds are sown strong,

So even through treacherous water, they will always find a way to stay together.

And my friends earned my respect, trust, and admiration through some testing times.

Just like God did.

I can trust him,

Respect him,

And admire him.

He is everything good.

So I can have faith in what he is.

He is God,

He is a friend.

And like any friend of mine,

He earned my trust,

Respect,

And admiration.

This poem is about the reality of being a Christian. Most people have this conception that if you're a devout Christian, then you don't have freedom to do the things you want to. They believe the religion inhibits your actions. When really being a Christian is a relationship of growth with God.
