House Bounds

September 28, 2019

With time

I changed my clothes

and they're dirty

though my life

is undefiled-

the past is haunting bleak

I just feel like

I can't be so unique

and my lovely house

is sinking deep.-

Take pity and

take a leap

I'm outta my house

bounds.

The author's comments:

I wrote this in a letter I volunteered to send to Letters Against Depression.  It's about a lady who stuck inside her own mind, which pleads perfection for her life as the past made her so depressed and wasn't so perfect.  The past is creeping back on her, however.
