Frozen Feelings
This winter season conceals secret feelings
The once warm air is strictly brisk
The leaves once lush now rigid and lifeless
A thick layer of ice forms over a roaring river
Yet still there is warmth by the fire
Bitter memories in the cold will melt away aside a friend
The snow pushes against the window trying to force itself in
Yet you’ve never felt safer
This winter season conceals secret feelings
Unless you find your way to the warmth

I wrote this because the winter season makes me want to spend time with friends and family while the snow is roaring outside.
