The Hourglass of Friendship
Friendships are one of the greatest things
that ever existed on the face of our world,
Despite the fact that they take so long to form.
But, in return to being in this world,
Friendship is bound to the rules of balance.
Two friends can only remain friends with balance.
They will definitely have their differences,
And will soon learn to accept
those in each other.
But that friendship,
The same one that gives you
The warm, joyous
feeling inside,
Can easily be turned over
Almost as easily
As you can turn
An hourglass
You may have a disagreement.
Not just any disagreement.
One that conflicts each other’s beliefs
And knowledge of the world around them
Soon the friendship has gone to imbalance,
Each has a different opinion in the world.
The friends that enjoyed the company of each other
Have now run out of their friendship’s balance,
And turned that company into hatred and aloofness.
