Swimming in the moon
The frosty night wraps around me
I fall deep into the moonlight
Drowning
In your eye
Blankets wrapped tighter than our embrace
Witnessing your face
So close yet so far
Carries me back to a solid state
disconnection alludes scars of the past
It all melts away
the current reality of reflection
I lay late in the night
Restless and shaking
As the truth yanks me away
Back home
Alone
the means it’s meant to be
An empty purgatory
Trapped with no escape
I need to withdraw
To get away from it all
Forever
