Inspiration
I am from mishaps,
from answering no one.
I am from focus, from guilty frustration
because technology has limited ability.
I am from tight bonds and the understanding of family,
the only way to deal with a disadvantage.
I’m from the alternate reality of our minds
from entertainment through imagination.
I’m from curiosity,
from fear made from uncertainty.
I’m from phantasmal beasts and horrifying nightmares,
the creative power of the mind unleashed.
I am from silence,
from fraudulent screams in the night,
when it should be quiet.
I come from excuses,
“I didn’t hear you, I’m deaf,”
my forged personal innocence.
I’m from two places at once,
from reality, and “reticence.”
