The Forest Holds
The Forest holds
the dreams that confuse and puzzle me,
and nightmares that torture and awake me.
The Forest holds
victories in this fight against life,
and losses where life wins.
The Forest holds
inspiration for a new book or a picture I wish to take,
and blocks where I can’t think of anything but a blank canvas.
The Forest holds
the hopes I've escaped my own thoughts,
and depression binding me to my evil thoughts.
The Forest holds
the happiness I find in the learning about the sunken ship forgotten at sea
and sadness I find in knowing the friends I’ve lost.
The Forest holds
confidence where I think I’ve found the light,
and anxiety where it shows me the darkness lied.
The Forest…
The Forest…
Is a place, no one can go.
Unless.
They’re in my dreams.
