Is it Okay?

Is it okay to cry, when you're not sad? Is it okay to lie, when you don't know? Is it okay to laugh, when it's not funny? Is it okay to scream, when you're frustrated? Is it okay to give up, when you gave it everything you had? Is it okay to ask, when you already know the answer? Is it okay to smile, when you don't mean it? Is it okay to accept yourself, when you have no other choice? Is it okay to feel, when you're empty on the inside? Is it okay to hate, when you love? Is it okay to push, when they give hugs? Is it okay to let go, when there's nothing left? Is it okay to treat the ones you love wrong? Is it okay to forgive and forget, when they don't deserve it? Is it okay to be human?

This was one of my first poems I have ever written. I was in seventh grade when my English teacher, Ms. Whatley, introduced me to the wonderful world of poetry. She made me recite Shakespeare's Sonnet 18; and I went off from there.
