Regret and Reminiscence
Something so innocent
Bound to neglectful recklessness
Fate has no say in mistaken actions
Beautiful tragedies stem from miscommunication
And misfortune blossoms from assumed decency
Accepting forced culpability doesnt make it burn any less
Acid rain still stills even when you're fully dressed
Evocations of thoughtless actions play like a record, over and over
My mind is forever broken by the mere thought of what could have been done
What should have been done
And I have yet to accept the full light of day in my window
Metaphorical darkness crowds the past light I didn't escape
They didn't escape
Fault is too weak of a word
Nothings ever strong enough
So I apologize, and weep instead
