Lone Cigarette
August 17, 2019
I am breathing in
All the hate I know
Smoking it away
Like a lone cigarette
And my lungs are screaming
As it burns down my throat
Choking whatever is
Left of you in me

This piece is about letting go of someone that used to play a huge part in your life. When I wrote this, it was about friendship. When you grow up, sometimes you change into a different person and the person you were friends with before may not like the new you. But, you have to do the right thing for yourself and let go and find you and friends who you want to be friends with.
