my home
i was adopted at birth
by a woman
of rosy skin
and auburn hair
she called me hers
and raised me
in her family of five.
but i have found
my biological mother.
she has blue pearls for eyes
and long, long green hair
that cascades down her curvaceous, coffee colored body
her smile is warm as sunshine
her anger cold as ice.
i revel in her teardrops
for they give life
to all things.
her name is Nature
and in her i’ve found
my home.
