"The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter—'tis the difference between the lightning-bug and the lightning." ~ Mark Twain

Yemaya blesses me
and she whispers into my ear:
"Let yourself go, there's nothing to fear"
up, up it comes, encapsulating all I see

in search for a feeling
i dive deeper into the void
but my mind is still empty, I'm getting paranoid
I know she'll soon have my mind reeling

for i must truly trust in Her
goddess of the sea
much respect is due to cosmic royalty
Her wrath, I wouldn't wish to incur

it is a desire that soon seizes
my heart and my mind
yet it is the idea that I still can hardly find
my skin is what creases

wrinkly and wizened
me, she has rebirthed
by soaking me in the lifeblood of Earth
my mind is no longer imprisoned

although the idea swam away like a whale
the desire, the feeling reposes
seated deeply, like roots of roses
she has now prepared me to write a tale
