What I Would Tell Fear
We’ve been at war
For a while and
I hope to call peace with you now.
I hope to get to know you
So you can protect me but also
Know when to let me go and
Let me get a taste of what
It’s like to be wild.
I hope that you’ll give me
Your key to my house so you
Learn there are boundaries.
I hope you know
I won’t be another
One of your conquests,
But I will be your friend.
Let go of my hand,
I’ll be standing right beside you.

Fear does not have to control your life. Fear does not have to hold you back. Fear does not have to be something you fear. Shake hands with your demons and walk into the light; Nothing feels better than a taste of freedom.
