The rule of confidence
He stared at her through glassy eyes,
Overwhelmed, by her towering size.
Though she was just over five feet tall,
Her presence was anything but small.
Was it the way her stance mimicked that of a lion?
Commanding and mighty without even try’in
Or the way her smile stunned the world?
Like Misty Copeland when she first twirled
“Is that you miss?” he dared to ask
“I believe I know you from the past.”
Her head whipped around in his direction
To stun the young man with her flawless complexion.
“Huh?” she said with a smile, “I don't recall,
But you musn’t be fibbing since you seem sure of it all.”
He grabbed her hand and the two strolled away.
Each hypnotized by the way the other’s confidence swayed
