I hate the waves
That rock the bed
And cause the salty deep to crash against the sheets
I hate the waves
That wake me often
And make me stare at his sleepy gaze
I hate the waves
That keep my heart alive and awoken
And staple my eyelids wide open
I hate the waves
They force me to watch the fear in his eyes
But i don’t really see, i really don’t feel, any sorrow for him
I hate the waves
That make you realize your true self
And what you’re capable of
I hate the waves
When they make it so easy to drown
Yet so hard to hide the rest
I hate the waves
That rock the bed
