Such a lost boy, very unique.

Drowned in overwhelming thirst for success,

Troubling him, making his knees weak.

But he keeps going, for there’s no time to rest

Young and broke, this child is,

Begging for a light to guide him.

But such thing God can’t promise,

For the light, is only but dim.

No hope, no fight, he is broken.

Closing his eyes, his dream fills the room.

A soft cry for a hand to lend,

And take him from this destructive gloom

Breathing in, Breathing out, the boy lay.

Give me not light, but a sign.

I will not die now, for tomorrow is a new day,

I will live and begin the climb.

Through the pit that he came

The darkness in which his mind resides.

Filled with passion, and understanding of one’s name,

The part that was once broken, has begun to rise.

He finds himself soaring high,

Above the clouds to the deepest part of the sea.

Bathed in happiness, he began to cry,

I am the man I wanted to be.

Still quite new to writing poems. One of few that I'm quite proud of.
