The Procrastinator
Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story
Of the young man who seemed to have
Lost his grip on the construct of time.
He who couldn’t find a way to manage or control it,
And wished he could stop it. To avoid the consequences
Soon to pass of many stress-inducing deadlines
Yelling repeatedly in his head muddling his thoughts.
Every time he glanced at the clock he felt he was being robbed.
As he recounted what he had done the last couple of days,
he realizes he hadn’t even taken the first step
On a journey whos peak he should have conquered.
Sing in me the story of the procrastinator who couldn’t
Start what many had finished.
This homework-killing hero had found himself
doing worse at what he does best.
Time is up and the procrastinator, close to reaching the summit,
Had a long time to think about it and change his ways.
