Soup smelling sweet and sour

The pot brims with vegetables

Bursting with colors like a flower

Some will like it and some won’t

But the chef keeps cooking

he don’t care no he don’t

Plink

plank

plonk

The words fill the bowl

the dinner bell goes honk

Some spit out the soup,

disgusted and unhappy

They feel it is too boring or sappy

Some love the taste

it is just right

They slurp down the poetry

in just a bite

This piece is a fun, carefree piece about my love of poetry and how others react to poetry.
