Ode to my Cat
Richard brought me
a rat
which he killed himself
with his sneaky hands,
A rat as stiff as a plank
I throw them outside
as if they were hot potatoes
Streaked with cuts and blood that wasn't his ,
Proud rat,
Richard is a torpedo with fur,
Forged by the sun
Made new,always grew
by from one blue sky,
One wind up toy,
Many lives,
my love is soft in this way
by this phenomenon
He was so cute for the first time
my heart seemed to me combustible
like burning bomb,
A bomb hesitant of that furry fire,
of those gleaming eyes
Nevertheless, I resisted the sharp temptation
to squeeze him somewhere as money
Holding inferno,
as it dies lonely
devine fruit,
I resisted the bearing motive to keep him
in a cozy box and each day sprinkle him
Nepeta cataria and fish
Like a lion on Acepromazine
who hand over the very will of fury
to fade and die with anguish,
I open the door and release the
the lofty lion and then the front door.
The moral of my ode is this:
allure is twice allure
and what is gutsy is doubly gutsy
when it is a matter of a cat
made of pride and joy.

I have a male cat named Richard. He has helped me through a lot since my last pet got put down. Even though he is small, he is a fiesty outdoor cat, and always brings me somthing from his visit every so often. It may disgust me but I still love him. This is disclaimer to the poem Ode to my Socks. I was inspired to edit this poem by Pablo Neruda. This is an amazing poem and deeply advises that you read it. Thank you!
