Later
Dear older me,
In the moment,
I am at my best.
We both want to change,
Now and then.
I hate then.
But I love now
We both know we need to change.
If hating then is part of change,
Then hate then all you want.
But now,
I’m working to change,
Not then.
Not just now.
But now and later.
I can’t change who I was
You can’t either
But you can change,
Who you will become
And who you are.
If you keep striving,
We can reach perfection.
If you hate me now,
That’s more than fine
But I hope you know,
I worked my a** off for you.
