I’m sorry for the way that I hurt you,

And for the way that I’ve lied.

Yet, my biggest regret is that we don’t talk anymore,

Because there goes two years of my life.

Once upon a time I was your princess,

But then I turned into a beast.

Sneaking around and avoiding,

Hoping you would see.

I’m sorry for the broken promises,

And that we never shared our first kiss.

But most of all I’m sorry that I trusted her,

In hopes she’d be our friend.

Even though I cheated,

Even though I lied,

She was the weasel that pushed us away,

By messing with our minds.

I’m sorry I couldn’t see the snake in the grass,

Spreading her little white lies.

I could see the writing on the walls,

That you would learn to love her.

So I turned to another in hopes for love,

But found a rougher kind.

I was naive to the fact of what it would bring,

The hurt,

The betrayal,

The crying.

I’m sorry I couldn’t see it before,

that our love was slowly dying.

I’m sorry I didn’t try to save it,

And just let it vanish.

But I’m not sorry for the lessons we’ve learned,

And the time that we had.

Just know that I did love you,

And that what we had was real.

But I’m sorry for the way that I hurt you,

And what I made you feel.
