Someone to share good times with,
And make everlasting memories.
They cheer you on when things go well,
And they help you get up when you're down.
Someone who can listen to what you have to say,
Even when they have heard the story a thousand times.
A true friend is a forever friend,
That neither time nor distance can come in between.
Many of us already have true friends,
And there is a lot to being a true friend.
Sometimes that means putting honesty above all.
And hearing what you need to hear,
Instead of what you WANT to hear.
Many times that means being there in the midst of inconvenience.
A true friend is one who is there through the
Pain and sorrow, happiness and joy.
They are always there when you need them,
Even when you think you don't.
They never get tired of your presence
And you are never tired of theirs.
Oh, what a blessing it is to have a friend.
