Beach
On one clear, sunny day,
I walked around a small town,
Through the local shops and restaurants.
I felt the cool breeze blowing in my hair.
The beach was just across the street,
And the waves were reaching out for me,
Calling me to go in the water.
Instead I took off my shoes,
Running through the warm sand
I could feel it in between my toes.
I took fun pictures and played volleyball
Letting my skin soak in the sun,
And while highlighting my hair
I can still feel this moment
Whenever I think about it.
