Sloth
I’m comfortably chilling in bed.
I feel the warm embrace as my blanket hugs me.
If only I could stay here forever.
I don’t want to move. I don’t want to think. I don’t want to do anything.
I see dirty dishes. I see piles of clothes. I see work everywhere.
But then, I tell myself I’ll get to those later.
Chores and obligations put to the side.
The next day, it’s the same pattern.
I don’t like to move around a lot.
I’d rather relax and eat some food I bought.
People tell me I’m too slow.
I just smile and say, “That’s good to know.”
I am a sloth,
Slow with my movements,
Glued to the same spot,
And lazy with everything I do.
