It makes me wonder...

Glistening snow filled my backyard
As far as I could see
It even covered my front yard
And lay peacefully on top of the trees
As the leaves changed colors
And falls off the trees
It makes me wonder
Does it feel free?
As the tree climbs so high
It makes me wonder
Will it ever touch the sky?
Or will it forever stay under?
Under the kiss of thunder
Under the kiss of the sun
Does it make you wonder?
Because I know it has just begun
