I Missed This
The air was crisp and cool
But it was calm
Clouds ruled the sky
The air was cool, the sky was still and stained grey
But i didn’t need the buckets of blue in the sky
I knew our time was coming,
The bold brown patio bench gleamed with dewy tears
It was the only place to sit
I placed my hands to weavings
Still wet
“Too nice to not stay”
He held two towels and one for company
There on folded towels
We sat
His hair weaved of gold and full of life
We sat and i missed this
Watching the trees grow their colors
I missed this
But it was still calm
And the clouds ruled our sky
