A World Not Yet Here
Death took me and flung me around
Death tugged at my hair and pulled my ears
While kindly taking me away from a world
I never wanted to live in.
And Death, with her sharp claws and pale
face of bones,
Left
Me panting for more, after the knife carved
My blood
Rooted! And I, in pain and terror, Cried
And Begged
For more.
Death, with her sharp claws and wicked grin
Tore me open and out and gave me reason
To live.
