The rain drops on the window
Soothes me as I fall asleep.
I listen for the sounds
Of rain as it flows.
In the morning, it makes
Me feel gloomy.
The dark clouds’ overcast
Won’t let me awaken.
Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop.
It tatters against the pane.
My ears listen
To leaves rustling
I hear the sound of rain.
