Person For Me
I Keep fighting.
Fighting the voices in my head.
They keep agonizing me of
Who I am and who I want to be.
I use every inch of
My strength to block them out.
But you tear me down
Like the walls of Jericho.
You are Joshua. I’m
Just the battle, I want
To be free but grace
Is not sufficient for me.
The scars that linger
Around me day after day,
Dealing with the constant
Anguish of the perplexity
Of the question. Do you still
Love me?
Me, you, we are one.
Your happy days are mine
My sad days are yours
But you make the separation
More taunting.
But the more our eyes meet,
And our skin touch, the more
I become more you than me.
And you become the person for me.
