Celestial Bodies
You were the Moon,
And I was your naive little Sun
I tried to light your way,
And give you everything that I had,
But you were selfish,
And took my light without offering any of your own.
You were the Moon,
And I was your naïve little Sun.
You shoved my light back into my face,
Like it was my fault you had none of your own.
You were the Moon,
And I was your naïve little Sun.
You gave my light to someone else,
Completely draining me.
You said she was your world,
But what about me?
You were the Moon,
And I was your naïve little Sun.
Still, I give you light in the hopes that you’ll start appreciating it; loving me.
You were the Moon,
And I was your naïve little Sun.
