Light Bulb
I am a construct of human creation. Made up of glass and many other components.
Upon mosts ceilings I sit.
Spending half the day unused
Sitting in darkness that i have the power to remove
Without someone making me bring light, I am unable to.
And despite people needing me turned on to see,
When i'm on they never look at me
My existence is dictated by humans
And their existence relies on mine,
Now I am the sun. A man looks up towards me.
He wanted to gaze at the heavens, but I was alone in the sky
He soon looked down, not wanting me to damage his eyesight.
I see him look down
Then he shakes his head in disappointment
I am important to him
But he takes me for granted
For i'm the reason he has life
And day by day I rise, without a care.
