Try To Forget
A tall sunflower in a field of daisies
She grew strong and confident
A mind filled with innocence
Wild, but undisturbed
Wind whipped, loudly silent
Rain drizzled, then poured
Lightning struck her
All on a sunny day
Playing like a song on repeat
Trapped by memories
Thoughts that never quit
But
She’ll be stronger
Smarter
Happier
Soon;
Not yet
A frozen storm
Spinning with no control, no end
But it will end soon
Maybe.

If you didn't understand the poem, I wrote it based on PTSD. I've suffered with PTSD for a long time and I wanted to write about it for others.
