My Inspiration
Everything about you inspires me. Like
Your beauty,
A piece of gold shimmering in a riverbank.
Your kindness,
A fully lit moon bathing me with its warm and youthful glow.
The world is full of questions and answers that we have always been able to find,
Like what's really under my bed at night or which key fits in the lock.
But the only thing they will never find is what makes you-
My inspiration.

The inspiration for this poem comes from a girl in my class, which I know seems really cliche, but she's always this really nice person to many people. She's always very welcoming to new people and I wanted to write something about the things that make her a great person (which I am very aware of how CLICHE this is). It just so happens that there was a poetry unit in my English class so that was also a pretty convenient coincidence.
