A Happy Life
Some say a picture’s home to a thousand words.
A door to a memory, that you’ve put on the shelf.
So small and yet,
A picture can bring a tidal wave of emotions
Rushing to the surface
Taking control of your sound, mind and body.
We were so young, so innocent.
Full of smiles and filled with joy.
As the sun beats down and the wind blows softly,
I yearn for the days at that park again.
I want to run and run,
play hide and seek,
Giggle until I can’t breath.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Five smiles engraved in my heart,
One I want to forget
I look at this frozen life,
and I want it so badly to come alive.
I want to smile from ear to ear.
I want to laugh uncontrollably.
I want to go back to that beautiful day in the park.
I want to be happy.
